  Sappers of the mounted dragoons of the line 1804-1808

  Like the Infantry, the regiments of Mounted Dragoons marched preceded by a small group of Sappers, 2 per squadron (4 squadrons to the regiment), under the orders of an N.C.O.These Sappers wore the uniform of the Elite Company of the regiments to which they were attached, in accordance with the following table
